Report Bullying
Goose Creek CISD is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for every student. Bullying, including cyberbullying, is prohibited.
If you believe that you or another student has experienced bullying, please report it as soon as possible.
How to Report Bullying
Students and parents may report suspected bullying orally or in writing to a:

Teacher

School counselor
-
Principal
-
Other Goose Creek CISD employee
You may also submit a report using the district's online bullying reporting form.
Reports may be made anonymously. Providing as much information as possible can help the district review and respond to the concern.
If there is an immediate threat to a student's safety, contact the school directly or call 911 in an emergency.
What Is Bullying?
Not every conflict or disagreement between students meets the legal definition of bullying.
Bullying may include certain acts or patterns of acts by one or more students directed at another student that meet the requirements established by Texas law and Goose Creek CISD policy. Bullying may occur in person or electronically through cyberbullying.

Determine Whether an Act Is Bullying or Cyberbullying by Law
Regardless of whether conduct meets the legal definition of bullying, students and families are encouraged to report concerns involving student safety or inappropriate behavior to the school.
What Happens After a Report?
Goose Creek CISD will review reported allegations of bullying and conduct an appropriate investigation in accordance with district policy.
Parents or guardians of students involved will be notified as required by district policy and applicable law.
When appropriate, the district may provide interventions, disciplinary consequences, counseling options or other support to address the situation and promote student safety.
Counseling and Support
Counseling options and other appropriate support are available to students involved in bullying incidents, including students who experience bullying, students who engage in bullying and student witnesses.
Families may contact their child's school counselor or campus administration for information about available support.
Retaliation Is Prohibited
Goose Creek CISD prohibits retaliation against any person who, in good faith:

Reports bullying

Provides information about a bullying incident

Serves as a witness

Participates in an investigation
Students or parents who believe retaliation has occurred should report the concern to a teacher, school counselor, principal or other district employee.
