Assistant Principal

Michelle Williams

Mrs. Michelle Williams serves as the Assistant Principal for Peter E. Hyland Empower Academy and Empower Virtual Academy. She is in her 28th year in education and her fifth year as Assistant Principal at Peter E. Hyland Empower Academy. She is dedicated to helping every student succeed by creating opportunities for growth in both traditional and virtual learning environments.

A graduate of Nederland High School, Mrs. Williams earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Lamar University. She began her career teaching eighth-grade mathematics before joining Goose Creek CISD, where she spent 22 years teaching Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and eighth-grade Math. She later transitioned into administration, serving at both the elementary and high school levels.

In addition to her role as Assistant Principal, Mrs. Williams serves as the campus Testing Coordinator, Safety Coordinator, and LPAC Coordinator. She also served as Summer School Principal for three years, helping students stay on track toward graduation.

Mrs. Williams believes every student deserves meaningful relationships, high expectations, and the support needed to reach their full potential. She is honored to serve the students, families, and staff of Empower Academy and remains committed to making a positive impact each day.

Outside of school, Mrs. Williams enjoys spending time with her family. She is married and has three children, two of whom are graduates of Goose Creek Memorial High School.
