About Us

Peter E. Hyland Empower Academy is an alternative high school campus of choice for Goose Creek CISD students.

Peter E. Hyland Empower Academy provides the opportunity to build stronger relationships between the teachers, staff, and students; lower student to teacher ratios that allow for more individualized instruction and intervention; the capacity to allow students to move at an accelerated pace to earn credits more quickly and to transition to other courses more flexibly throughout the school year; and post secondary discussions that help students' transition.

At Peter E. Hyland Empower Academy, our mission is to provide a supportive, inclusive, and innovative learning environment that meets students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, while nurturing who they are and guiding them toward who they can become. Through flexible pathways, individualized support, and a caring culture, we empower scholars of all ages to rise, recover, and redefine their futures.
